Program Manager

 

Who Are We?

Our Mother’s Home is passionate about caring for and educating young mothers (ages 11-21) who are in foster care and their babies. With a deep connection to the women and children we serve, Our Mother’s Home is a powerful PLACE that promotes Partnerships, Leadership, Accountability, Compassion, and Education. Position Summary:

Do you enjoy working with young women and children? Are you able to firmly enforce rules and boundaries, while expressing compassion? As the Program Manager at Our Mother’s Home, your leadership role to our Youth & Infant Care Team is an important one. Your responsibility would be to provide overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of our home while maintaining a safe and positive environment for the children in our care. It’s essential that all our team members be supportive, loving parental figures and positive role models. Our Program Manager will work closely with the Case Manager, and report directly to the Executive Director.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

  • Support Our Mother’s Home’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
  • Oversee proper intake and supervision of young mothers and children
  • Stay current with childcare and education through in-service CEU training, and DCF requirements
  • Ability to oversee the maintenance and traditional responsibilities of home and office
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of reports maintained and generated
  • Respect the confidentiality of residents, staff, and volunteers
  • Manage volunteer recruitment, guidance, and retainment
  • Recruit, supervise, hire, and provide progressive oversight of direct care staff
  • Develop, maintain and monitor staff training and shift responsibilities and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing
  • Implement enrichment programs designed for residents and staff
  • Act as a representative to community agencies and partners

Qualifications:

  • Prior DCF Experience Preferred
  • Experience working with budgets and grant outcomes
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including word, excel and one drive
  • Experience implementing standards of operating procedures and quality control measurements
  • Understanding of trauma, healing, and cultural diversity, and conflict resolution
  • Experience working with teenagers or as a parent or house parent
  • Ability to be patient and compassionate, and to treat all with dignity, respect and positive outlook
  • Certification in Adult and Infant CPR and First Aid is preferred

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in social work (BSW), psychology or related social field
  • Minimum two years management experience; preferred residency and/or youth development
  • Ability to make positive connections with teenagers, babies, and toddlers
  • Must be able to bend over and lift up to 20lbs
  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance
  • Pass FDLE background screening and fingerprinting
  • Complete 40 CEU hours of childcare and development during the first year, 20 hours annually thereafter

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits:

  • 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must be available for some weekends and overnights as the need arises
  • Salary: $38-40,000
  • Healthcare Reimbursement of $200 per month
  • MD Live Telemed Services (24/7 access to doctors via phone and video)
